Candidate Comment

Please allow me to introduce myself as a first time candidate for Town Meeting. My name is Toni Mannette. I live at 11 Dimock Street, which is a small street near Plains Park. I moved to Danvers four years ago and was quickly impressed by the sense of community and the quality of services the Town offers.

My husband, John, and I have three children. Our daughter, Jamie, is a fourth grade student at Riverside Elementary School and our son, Justin, is in the first grade. The baby, Matthew, just turned one year old.

I have been a Senior Account Manager for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) for 13 years. I have a strong background in business software as well as in accounting and finance. My recent decision to work part time affords me the time to commit to being a Town Meeting Member.

I would appreciate one of your votes on May 7th. I am number 16 on the ballot and would like the opportunity to represent you. I look forward to a more proactive role in helping Danvers to continue to be the great community it is and in helping to shape its future for all of us. As a mother and a homeowner, I am interested in a balanced resolution to the school issue that will keep Danvers an attractive and affordable place to live. I am also very concerned about the open space and traffic issues facing the Town. I encourage you to call or e-mail me with your comments and concerns.

I hope all of you will take the opportunity to vote on Tuesday, May 7th. I believe that everyone's vote is important to the future of our community.

Thank you for your consideration.
