Congratulation Candidate!!!

Reunite Danvers would like to congratulate you on your decision to run for elected office in Danvers. The members of Reunite Danvers wish to express their heartfelt thanks for your taking this daunting first step toward election.

Danvers can only be as good as the people who help run the town, and your participation is paramount to successfully leading Danvers in the upcoming years.

First, in the event you are unfamiliar with Reunite Danvers, let us introduce ourselves. Reunite Danvers is now celebrating it's fourth year, and can best be described through our mission statement:

As a citizens awareness group, Reunite Danvers would like to help you get your name and message out to the other citizens in a couple of ways;

First, Reunite Danvers would like to invite you to participate in our Third Annual Meet the Candidate Evening to be held on Thursday May 1st, from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Danvers Senior Center.

The format will be as follows; A table will be provided to each candidate for Moderator, Selectman, and School Committee. A table will be available to be shared by the Library Trustees and Housing Authority candidates, and tables for each Precinct will be set aside for Town Meeting candidate to share. This is a meet-and-greet forum. There will be no debate. Introductions will be made around 7:00. Selectmen and School Committee candidates will have an opportunity for a 5-7 minute speech (at their discretion.) Other candidates will be introduced, but time prohibits speeches by Town Meeting candidates. Please feel free to bring literature, bumper stickers, and/or pins. Campaign signs are discouraged. Please let us know by April 25th if you can join us. You can call our Chairman Alan Hartnett at 774-2474.

We would also like to offer you a chance to get your name and message on our web page. We will provide space, to those who wish, to place your name, some background info, and a message to voters. You can submit your bio through our online candidate form at www.ReuniteDanvers.com. We encourage you to look at our literature online. If you are unable to log in and would like to have your bio posted, please send mail to Candidates Profile, 31 Fellows Street, Danvers, MA 01923. Please include the candidates name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and a message of no more than 350 words.

Please note: Reunite Danvers does not endorse any candidate, nor does the group take positions on town-related projects and warrant articles. Further, posting your name and biography on our web page in no manner infers you are a member of Reunite Danvers. We are providing a forum for information exchange. Reunite Danvers is open to anyone who wishes to join our group or attend our meetings, and these events are a natural offshoot of those principles.

Again, we offer you our congratulations and hope you can join us at our Candidate forums, both online and in person.

Good luck in the upcoming election.

 Sincerely,

Reunite Danvers
