The following townwide positions are up for election:

Moderator for one year.
Selectman, two for a term of three years each.
School Committee, two for a term of three years each.
Trustees for the Peabody Institute Library, three for a term of three years each.
Housing Authority, one for a term of five years.
Town Meeting Members, 5 candidates for 3 years from each of the 8 precincts.

Important Dates:

April 16   Last day to register to vote in May 6 election.
               Clerk's office open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Town Hall.
April 21   Danvers Herald Sponsors School Committee Roundtable Show
               Telivised from DCAT studios on Channel 9 from 7 p.m.

April 29   Salem Evening News Debate  7 to 9, John Toomey Room, Danvers Town Hall
May 1      Reunite Danvers 'Meet the Candidates' night, 6:30-8:30 Danvers Senior Center
May 2      YES / NO Debate, 12:30-1:30 Danvers Senior Center
May 6     The election will take place Tuesday, May 6. Polls open at 7:00 a.m.
May 19   The annual Town Meeting will convene.
